Given how affordable our stay was at the Hilton Garden Inn in Center City, Philadelphia, we didn't have high expectations for quality or comfort, yet our experience exceeded our expectations in every way! We arrived a few hours early on a 90+ degree day, and were welcomed to relax in the well-appointed and very well air conditioned lobby along with complimentary wifi. We were notified when our room was available for check-in (delightfully, earlier than the usual check-in time). The room was perfectly climate controlled, clean, quiet (no outside city noise infiltrated the space, with a wonderfully comfortable King-sized bed, lots of storage, large TV, and fully-appointed bathroom. In-room wifi was super-fast, and the view from our particular standard room allowed us glimpses of the top of the William Penn statue atop City Hall, and other famous Philadelphia skyline buildings. It was particularly lovely at night time with the sparkling lights. The location was supreme for us, as it was conveniently located to everywhere we planned to visit by foot (Old City, Rittenhouse Square, restaurants and a music venue along Spring Garden Street, and everything in between). But the highlight for us was being next door to the famous Reading Terminal Market (go to Old City Coffee within - the best!) and smack dab in the best area of Chinatown. We LOVE Asian food and farmers markets, so the rare opportunity to enjoy the combo in this geographic location was awesome. We highly recommend QT Vietnamese Sandwiches which is about 1.5 blocks from the hotel, and their lemongrass tofu banh mi sandwiches and Vietnamese coffee. Penang Malaysian restaurant is also always a treat, plus all the bubble tea shops. The staff at the Hilton Garden Inn were friendly and accommodating, and were able to hold our luggage in a secure location on the day of our check-out, when we still wanted to spend a few more hours in the city. Such a fantastic experience. Highly recommended!

The staff was very nice and welcoming. It was my friend and our 3 girls, we didn't stay in the hotel room a lot because we were out and about most of the time. We stayed two nights, 3 days but didn't opt for housekeeping. We did need a few things (toilet paper, towels, bedding for the pull out sofa, etc) and the staff at the front desk accommodated our requests almost immediately. The restaurant was not full service but we were notified of that at check in so we didn't have many expectations there. Reading Terminal Market and a Dunkin' Donuts are literally right next door/across the street! We felt very safe inside the hotel.

Cheryl

The location was extremely convenient, and absolutely perfect walking distance to the Shopping District, Chinatown, Reading Terminal Market, bus station, etc. The hotel and room itself were squeaky clean and felt very safe and comfortable, the staff professional and friendly. Even better was the parking garage directly beside the hotel, taking away the immense stress of trying to find parking in Center City. The area itself was busy, sure, but I could not have asked for a better experience with how convenient everything was made.

Alexis

There was trouble finding my reservation when I checked in and I was getting a little anxious. Dayshana( I hope I spelled her name right) was very calm and professional. She never panicked, and even asked. others for assistance until she found my reservation. When I went to check out the next morning, she was there and she remembered my name from the day before - I was very impressed. That was one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. The room was very spacious and comfortable.

George

The location was amazing. We came for a conference and it was very convenient. The room was basic, there were worn areas, but nothing was dingy, dirty, or in need of repair. When we checked in, there was an exorbitant security hold (30%). We were traveling for a professional conference on our own dime and didn't know about the hold and were illl prepared to pay it. The desk clerk reduced the fee so that we were able to stay.
